Welcome Back to School!

Hello Parents and Students.

Welcome back to school! I cannot wait to get to know each of you this year. I am so excited to share this adventure with you.

Here are a few things to remember:

1.) You must log into your Powerschool account and accept the user agreement and Safe Schools Policy. Without this form "signed," your child will not be allowed to use the internet or the Chromebooks inside our classroom. There are four different forms to sign. Please do this as soon as possible.

• Log into Powerschool.
• Click Forms on the left hand menu.
• Open and read each document.
• Click accept.
• Click sign.
• You're finished!

You will only need to do this for one child. It will carry over to any other children you have listed in Powerschool. If your child is new to our school system (kindergarten or a move-in) please add them before accepting. It will make your life easier, I promise!

2.) Students will focus on Growth Mindset this year. They will need a three-ring binder to collect data throughout the year. They will also need a Composition Notebook, as we write every day.
If you cannot provide any materials, don't worry, I've got you covered. :)

3.) We will begin curriculum on Thursday.

Here's What's Happening In...

Math:
We will begin Chapter 1: Place Value, Multiplication, and Expressions

CKLA:
Unit 1: Personal Narrative. Students will read personal narratives, focus on adding sensory details in writing, and begin constructing a personal narrative.
Students will learn Greek and Latin root words.
