Hello Parents:
This Tuesday is picture day. If you order online, you don't need to send anything. If you chose to fill out the paper and send a check, please send them with your child in the morning.
Wednesday is our PTA fall carnival. The carnival runs from 5-7:00.
A few upcoming events to mark on your calendar:
September 30-October 5: SEP Week. School will be dismissed daily at 2:30, including Wednesday. Scheduling papers came home today.
October 1: Reading Calendars Due for September.
October 8: Book Reports are due for quarter 1.
Here's What's Happening in...
MATH:
We will be finishing up Chapter 2 by Wednesday. The end of chapter review will be coming home with your student on Tuesday. Please help them go over problems they may be struggling with. We will also go over the work as a class. Reviews are due on Thurdsay, the test will be Friday.
CKLA:
We are learning about Maya civilzations. We are also reading about Dia de los Muertos. Students will be writing a compare and contrast essay on Halloween and the Day of the Dead.
SCIENCE:
We are about ready to rotate! Students will be tested on Heredity this week. They should start rotating Tuesday of next week.
HISTORY:
We are learning about the writing of the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War.
