Hello Parents!
This week is SEP week. School will be dismissed daily, including Wednesday. Your time is very important to me, so I will do my best to make each visit as efficient as possible. I am excited to show your child's progress to you!
Here's What's Happening In...
MATH:
We will be starting Chapter 3: Adding and Subtracting Decimals. Students will learn to write decimals to the thousandths place as well as describe the relationship between place values. They will also be adding and subtracting to the thousandths place.
I will be holding early morning math group this week. Mon.-Thursday starting at 8:15 for those who are interested.
CKLA:
We will continue learning about an Ancient Civilization, the Maya. Students will write a codex and use that codex to write a letter to a friend.
We will also learn about different types of sentences and sentence structures. We will also talk about nouns, proper nouns, and pronouns.
SCIENCE:
We will test on heredity this week and will rotate to chemistry next week.
