October 7-October 11

Hello Parents!

I hope you are having a great beginning to fall. As the weather is cooler in the morning, it is important that students arrive at school no earlier than 8:30, unless attending early morning math groups which are Monday-Thursday starting at 8:15. 

Here's what's happening in...

MATH:
We are continuing chapter 3: addition and subtraction of decimals. Students are understanding the concepts well, and are completing homework pages as bellwork. These are returned daily, so check their backpack to see how well they are doing. We will take the Mid-Chapter review Wednesday.

CKLA:
We are learning about the rise and decline of the Aztec empire. Students are also learning about words that compare and contrast. We will continue learning about elements of literature, especially mood, setting, style, and tone.

SCIENCE:
We are rotating to Chemistry with Mrs. Meachum.
