Hello Parents!

Wednesday is our Fun Run! 5th grade will begin running at 9:30. Students should wear a good pair of shoes for running and a jacket/sweater.

Thursday is makeup picture day/retakes.

Friday is book club. We are reading a "spooky" book as a class, so all students get to participate. We are reading The Legend of Sleep Hollow.

We took our chapter 3 math test. If you would like to see your child's score, log into Mastery Connect. Otherwise, watch for a report to come home soon.

Here's What's Happening in...

MATH:
We will begin Chapter 4: Multiplication of Decimals. It is SO important that students know their multiplication facts. They will use them with every lesson.

CKLA:
We have started our unit on poetry. Students will be learning about stanza, line, line breaks, form, and different types of poetry. They will also be writing poems every day.

SCIENCE:
Students are learning about chemistry and the stages of matter. They also learn about chemical and physical changes in matter.
